The poetic installation “The Phoenix is closer than it appears” by Thilo Frankconsists of a cube measuring 4x4x8 metres. This cube is covered with mirrors both outside and inside. When you enter the cube’s interior, you find yourself standing in a space of infinite reflections in which there is a swing hanging down from the ceiling. Take a turn in the swing in a room in which the only reference point is yourself – in infinite perspectives.
Thilo Frank (1978) lives and works in Berlin.
